I’ve always been obsessed with reading and collecting books (two hobbies in their own right) and ow I have AJ, I’m now doubly obsessed! I have lots more translations of AJ’s children’s books on the way. Today, we’re reading “That’s Not My Pony”, which is the second translation I’ve done from the “That’s not my…” book series.

As with my “That’s Not My Puppy” translation, I’ve created both a printable to stuck inside your board book (See: How I Make my Own Cantonese Books) and a cheat sheet for you if you prefer to translate on the fly. Both resources, of course, contain written Cantonese and jyutping romanisation.
Translation Printable

The printable is designed to be printed on A4 as this will mean the text will be the perfect size to fit in the board book. However, please check your printer settings to ensure the size you require.
Cheat Sheet
If you don’t have the time to use my printable or prefer to translate as you go, I have created a handy cheat sheet of the key vocabulary you will need and a breakdown of the grammatical structure.
I recommend you print the guide out to keep folded in your copy of “That’s Not My Pony” so you have it handy in case you need to quickly look up a word. This method has the benefit of saving you from the effort of gluing in all the phrases and keeping your book in pristine condition.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions to improve my translation as I’m still in at start of my language learning journey. Happy reading!
